The role of a Cashier at JCPenney is a vital position focused on delivering exceptional customer service and facilitating a seamless sales experience. As a Cashier, you are responsible not only for processing transactions but also for maintaining high checkout standards, assisting with general store operations such as omnichannel efforts, inventory recovery, and ensuring fitting room maintenance. JCPenney offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $21.25, reflective of experience and performance. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist customers while providing excellent customer service

  • Complete checkout processes including returns and re-ticketing

  • Proactively request assistance in checkout lines
  • Utilize Point of Sale on Mobile Warrior device
  • Support Omnichannel efforts
  • Assist with recovery, put backs, and fitting room maintenance
  • Participate in annual inventory processes
  • Support company shrink and safety initiatives
  • Meet performance standards including iCAP program, product and service sales, customer service, profit, productivity, and attendance
