Job Description

Coach is a renowned global fashion house established in New York in 1941, recognized for its dedication to creating beautiful, high-quality products built to last. Inspired by the vision of Creative Director Stuart Vevers and embodying the inclusive, courageous spirit of its hometown, Coach has become a trusted name in luxury fashion, consistently delivering innovative designs that empower individuals to express their true selves. As part of the Tapestry portfolio, a global family of brands committed to stretching the boundaries of possibility, Coach shares a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity, making it a dynamic and welcoming environment for employees and customers alike.

The role of Cashier at Coach is pivotal in enhancing the customer experience by providing efficient, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap. Acting as a brand ambassador, the Cashier not only handles transactions but also fosters customer loyalty through genuine interactions reflecting Coach’s brand values and service standards. This position demands operational precision, including cash handling, media management, and compliance with company policies to maintain integrity and smooth retail operations.

The Cashier also supports team development by assisting in training and mentoring colleagues, ensuring the entire team upholds high standards of service and operational excellence. Candidates for this role should be comfortable promoting the Insider Program, including add-on sales and gift cards, and adept at managing returns, repairs, and damaged goods according to company protocols. Organizational skills are essential for maintaining a clean, orderly cashwrap area and handling equipment issues promptly.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience in cashier or retail roles, preferably within luxury retail environments. Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems, mobile technology, and basic computer skills is required. Moreover, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and excellent English language proficiency (for EU applicants) are important. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays, is essential to meet business demands.

Coach values competencies such as courage, creativity, customer focus, adaptability amidst ambiguity, drive for results, interpersonal savvy, and a commitment to continuous learning. For people managers, additional competencies include strategic agility, developing direct reports, and building effective teams. These qualities ensure that Coach employees deliver exceptional experiences, foster a positive workplace, and contribute to the brand’s ongoing success.

At Coach, the Cashier position offers a competitive base pay ranging from $15.00 to $18.50 per hour, compliant with all relevant wage laws based on local regulations. The company also provides an attractive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans, paid parental leave, commuter benefits, disability insurance, and tuition assistance. Coach is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse work environment where all hiring decisions are based solely on qualifications without regard to legally protected characteristics.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about retail, luxury brands, and delivering outstanding customer service within a supportive and progressive company. If you are enthusiastic about joining a global leader in fashion and contributing to a brand that values innovation and inclusivity, consider a career as a Cashier at Coach. You will play an integral role in shaping memorable shopping experiences that reflect Coach’s heritage and forward-thinking culture.
