This job opportunity is for the position of Cashier/Host at a Golden Corral franchise. This role is integral in shaping the guest experience during two critical moments—when guests enter and leave the restaurant. The Cashier/Host serves as the frontline ambassador of the Golden Corral brand, setting the tone for the dining experience with a friendly greeting and a sincere invitation to return. The Cashier/Host is responsible for assisting guests, handling payments accurately, processing to-go orders, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of menu items and pricing. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest entry and cashier areas, ensuring compliance with health department regulations, and contributing to the smooth operation of the restaurant through operational excellence practices such as keeping cash levels low and ensuring accurate drawer balances. Attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence are vital qualities for success in this role. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to handle monetary transactions accurately
  • Availability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greets guests as they enter the restaurant and offers a sincere, personal invitation to return as the guests leave
  • Offers assistance to any guests who may need help
  • Processes Golden Corral On the Go To-Go orders
  • Is friendly and courteous on the phone
  • Handles payments accurately
  • Knows and follows position responsibilities as they relate to just-in-time delivery
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness at the vestibule, host/cashier station and surrounding areas
