Job Description

ABM is one of the world’s largest providers of facility services and solutions, known for delivering comprehensive and innovative services that enhance the spaces and places that matter most to its clients. Founded in 1909, ABM has grown into a global leader with more than 100,000 team members, serving over 20,000 clients through 350+ offices across the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. The company specializes in a diverse range of services including janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical, landscape and turf management, and mission-critical solutions. ABM’s commitment to improving environmental sustainability and customer satisfaction has established it as a trusted partner across numerous industries such as commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues.

The Parking Cashier role at ABM is an essential frontline position primarily responsible for managing cash and electronic transactions with parking customers. This role requires a professional and approachable demeanor to ensure an excellent customer service experience. The Parking Cashier is expected to greet customers warmly, assist in resolving their questions or concerns, and efficiently handle the issuance and collection of parking tickets. They match visitor tickets to parking rate schedules, collect accurate payments, and dispense correct change. The role also demands a high level of accuracy in reconciling receipts, cash, and charges while maintaining a cashier drawer balance. Additional responsibilities include completing lost ticket forms, performing revenue drops in accordance with location-specific procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Effective communication is critical to success in this role as the Parking Cashier must relay customer concerns to leadership when necessary, answer telephone inquiries courteously, and immediately report any accidents or safety issues to a shift lead or operations manager. Although no formal education or prior experience is required, the position offers comprehensive on-the-job training to support new employees and help them develop their skills. Applicants have to be at least 18 years old to qualify.

ABM’s Parking Cashier role offers an opportunity to work for a company that values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity. As an equal opportunity employer, ABM is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to individuals with disabilities and prides itself on being a military-friendly employer with career opportunities supporting veterans transitioning into civilian roles. Benefits include a robust package geared toward supporting employees’ overall well-being and professional growth. The company actively participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility, ensuring compliance with employment laws.

This is a frontline position that plays a vital role in supporting the company's parking services by delivering exemplary customer service, maintaining financial accountability, and promoting safety and cleanliness in the workplace. The Parking Cashier contributes directly to customer satisfaction and the operational success of ABM’s parking services division, making it an essential component of the broader facility services that ABM champions worldwide. If you are interested in joining a global leader offering a supportive work environment and comprehensive employee benefits, the ABM Parking Cashier position provides a promising career avenue in a dynamic and growing industry.
