Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year cashier experience for Head Cashier
  • excellent customer service skills
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to handle cash accurately
  • knowledge of point of sale systems
  • capability to follow company policies and procedures
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year of cashier experience for Head Cashier role
  • excellent customer service skills
  • strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • leadership and supervisory experience preferred for Head Cashier
  • ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • basic math and cash handling skills
  • familiarity with point of sale systems
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

Job Duties

  • Process checkout and return transactions
  • monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
  • proactively seek product and project knowledge to provide customers with information
  • identify selling opportunities
  • follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
  • position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
  • approve point of sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental
  • provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • assist in the supervision, coaching and training of front end associates by participating in training of new cashiers and utilizing all available tools to coach and develop other cashiers
