CulinArt specializes in managing more than 250 dining facilities which serve a diverse range of clients including corporations, law and financial service firms, independent schools, colleges, and universities, as well as long-term care facilities and entertainment venues across the country. Emphasizing quality and innovation, CulinArt continuously strives to revitalize and transform its services to stay ahead of industry trends while fostering a culture of inclusion and diversity that drives its success. Their clientele includes many Fortune 500 companies and prestigious educational institutions, offering vast career growth opportunities within the company and across multiple geographic locations.
Currently, CulinArt Sector is seeking to hire a full-time Cashier at The Bryn Mawr School located at 109 West Melrose Avenue, Baltimore, MD. This opportunity provides an excellent entry point for individuals passionate about customer service and foodservice, looking to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The full-time schedule is flexible, with potential shifts ranging from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, days may vary, and further schedule details are shared during the interview process. The hourly wage ranges from $17.00 to $17.50, reflecting the importance of this role to the organization. This position requires previous cashiering experience, and internal employee referral bonuses are available, encouraging employees to recommend qualified candidates. Candidates interested in applying can easily do so via online applications, with a convenient text messaging application option also available.
The Cashier role is fundamental to the smooth operation of the dining facility, responsible for cashiering duties such as handling cash transactions accurately, verifying and balancing the cash drawer, and efficiently providing change. The role also involves entering all sales into the register correctly, processing various payment forms, and issuing receipts. The cashier serves as a frontline representative of CulinArt, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and resolves complaints in a courteous and service-oriented manner. In addition to cashiering duties, the role may involve general food service tasks, including maintaining sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining areas. The cashier is also responsible for inventory tasks such as replenishing condiments, stocking beverage stations, and keeping the pastry case stocked and the service areas clean.
CulinArt prioritizes compliance with all company standards related to cash control, service, inventory, sanitation, and safety, including ServSafe guidelines. Their associates benefit from comprehensive programs designed to support their well-being and professional growth. Both full-time and part-time employees enjoy benefits such as retirement plans, associate shopping programs, health and wellness initiatives, discount marketplaces, identity theft protection, and pet insurance. In addition, full-time staff members are offered enhanced benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, and flexible spending accounts. Paid and unpaid time off is also available in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, further emphasizing the company’s commitment to work-life balance.
Compass Group, the parent company of CulinArt Sector, is committed to equal opportunity employment and ensuring fairness to all applicants and associates regardless of race, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other protected classifications. This role, like all positions within CulinArt, requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. The company also maintains a drug-free workplace and may require background screenings in certain jurisdictions. This job offers the ideal environment for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, customer-focused settings and want to contribute to exceptional dining experiences.
