The full-time Cashier position at Kirkland & Ellis NYC Cafe located at 601 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY, offers an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to start or grow their career in the food service industry. This role provides a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, from 7:15 am to 3:45 pm, allowing employees work-life balance with no weekend shifts required. The offered pay range, between $19.00 and $21.00 per hour, reflects the company’s commitment to fair compensation. As a Cashier at FLIK Hospitality within Compass Group, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling all cash and sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring excellent customer service at all times. The role includes tasks such as making change, verifying cash drawer contents, issuing receipts, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards in the cafe environment. Job Duties

  • performs sales transactions in a timely fashion
  • enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
  • makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment
  • issues receipts to customers
  • follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
  • interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards
  • observes customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiates between standard portions
  • replenishes condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas
  • keeps pastry case stocked
  • ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
  • ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements
  • performs other duties as assigned
