Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-2 year Cashier-Food Expeditor experience in a restaurant or equivalent fast paced environment
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Ability to read and write to facilitate the communication process
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computational ability
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing employment and labor practices
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards
  • Ability to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
  • Compliance with restaurant rules and regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ring up, process, and take orders on the phone and in person while using the guest's name if provided at all times
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to increase check average when applicable
  • Refer all unusual requests to supervisor for proper handling
  • Process all payments such as cash, credit card etc.
  • Ensure that all kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and according to menu and customer specifications
  • Finalize the presentation of the plate and test the temperature of the food
  • Keep orders flowing from the kitchen to the guests and constantly communicate with the culinary team
