The Cashier position at Towne Park is a part-time role offering an hourly base pay of $18, with a work schedule set from Monday to Wednesday, 3 pm to 11 pm, including mandatory weekend shifts. This role is more than handling transactions; it is about delivering outstanding hospitality services to every guest. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for accurately collecting and reconciling revenue while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to greet and assist guests promptly and courteously, ensuring every interaction contributes to a positive guest experience. The Cashier will utilize systems and equipment to process payments securely and efficiently, accurately categorize transactions for audit purposes, and maintain detailed shift reports. Furthermore, the Cashier must support the team by completing tasks assigned by the Lead Cashier or Account Manager and maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.

This position provides a unique opportunity to work outdoors and face varying weather conditions, requiring physical stamina to stand or sit for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three month(s) related experience and/or training
  • Basic math knowledge
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests immediately while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Address guests using last names when appropriate
  • Treat guests and associates with courtesy, respect and dignity
  • Maintain accuracy and composure while under pressure
  • Appropriately use the salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Use proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Assist guests with directions and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Determine guest charges and process payments via cash, credit, or direct billing
  • Accurately categorize tickets for audit purposes
  • Collect and reconcile revenue accurately and furnish payment receipts
  • Complete accurate and timely shift reports
  • Follow all standard operating procedures related to cash banks
  • Operate equipment including registers, gates, and credit card machines
  • Obtain information about daily events and rates to be charged
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Lead Cashier/Account Manager
