Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC (CEC), headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. Known for creating joyful, lasting memories, CEC Entertainment celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, focusing on a unique blend of fun, food, and play. Their venues are designed to be safe and engaging environments where kids can be kids, fostering physical wellness and strengthening motor skills through diverse attractions. The company’s commitment to safety is demonstrated through programs like Kid Check® and community support, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. In 2025, Chuck E. Cheese received the "Best in STEM" award and was named one of America's Greatest Workplaces, reflecting its innovation leadership and dedication to employee well-being.
CEC Entertainment operates nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries. Both brands emphasize a culture of diversity, fun, and family connection, making them beloved by local communities and families nationwide. The company is firmly dedicated to equality and diversity, committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination on all protected bases in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
The Cashier position at Chuck E. Cheese is a frontline role, central to delivering exceptional guest service. Cashiers are responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prizes, and creating an energetic, welcoming atmosphere for families and kids. This role is ideal for first-time job seekers or those looking to start a rewarding career, as CEC empowers its Cast Members through cross-training in different positions and prioritizes internal promotions—more than 60% of managers were promoted from within.
This position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $15.16 to $16.16, complemented by commission opportunities depending on the exempt or non-exempt status. Exempt employees earn commissions from $0.50 to $10 for each membership sold and $0.15 to $3 for each Fun Pass sold, while non-exempt employees earn higher commission ranges for these sales. Commissions are paid out bi-weekly unless state law dictates otherwise. The company also offers a "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program that provides employees access to earned wages without waiting for the regular payday, enhancing financial flexibility.
Working as a Cashier involves physical tasks such as lifting or carrying objects up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting during shifts. Employees must be able to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and coworkers in a vibrant, sometimes noisy environment with flashing lights and mechanical parts.
CEC Entertainment offers comprehensive benefits packages for both part-time and full-time employees. All employees have access to telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may enroll in fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision, and voluntary life and short-term disability benefits, while full-time employees averaging 29.5 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, vision, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays where applicable, FSA/HSA options, life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, legal coverage, and additional education and student loan support.
CEC Entertainment places a strong emphasis on employee health and safety, maintaining rigorous health and sanitation standards aligned with or exceeding local requirements. Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The company continues to accept applications regularly, looking to build a vibrant team that values diversity, inclusion, and a shared passion for creating memorable family experiences.
