CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. The company has a strong commitment to creating memorable experiences for kids and families by combining great food, fun, and safe environments. Chuck E. Cheese alone celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, emphasizing its dedication to joy, play, and community support. Beyond entertainment, the company has contributed over $24 million in donations to schools and nonprofits, highlighting its role as an important community partner. The brand is acclaimed for its industry leadership through awards such as the "Best in STEM" and being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces, reflecting its innovation and commitment to employee well-being.
CEC Entertainment operates nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries. Both brands focus on fostering physical wellness and social connection, combining delicious food with engaging entertainment to bring families and communities together. CEC is dedicated to inclusive hiring and maintaining a diverse workforce that reflects the guests and communities they serve.
As a company, CEC Entertainment takes pride in offering robust benefits and professional growth opportunities. Employees have access to competitive medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) retirement plans, depending on their employment status. The company also provides job training, tuition assistance, and financial relief programs. Additionally, they offer a "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access earned wages more flexibly. This initiative exemplifies their commitment to employee support and a positive work environment.
The role of Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese places individuals at the heart of guest experience. Cashiers act as the frontline representatives, responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prize distribution, and overall guest satisfaction. This position is ideal for first-time job seekers or those looking to build a career in an exciting family-friendly environment. Cashiers receive cross-training in various roles to encourage skill development and potential career advancement. In fact, over 60% of managers at CEC Entertainment began their careers in such frontline roles, which speaks to the company’s focus on internal promotion and career pathing.
Cashiers must embody an energetic and enthusiastic personality while demonstrating excellent customer service skills. The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and engage actively with guests in a sometimes loud and fast-paced environment. The work atmosphere includes exposure to flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and noise, requiring resilience and adaptability.
CEC Entertainment is an equal opportunity employer, embracing diversity and inclusion as core values of its hiring philosophy. The company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions successfully. Employees enjoy access to telemedicine, early wage access, employee meal discounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and more. For part-time workers, options for medical, dental, vision, and disability benefits are offered, while full-time employees have eligibility for comprehensive insurance plans and paid time off.
Joining CEC Entertainment as a Cashier means becoming part of a dynamic, supportive team focused on making family entertainment unforgettable. It combines fun with career-building, supported by a culture of learning, diversity, and respect.
