Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC ("CEC"), headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. The company is dedicated to creating joyful, lasting memories for families by offering a unique blend of food, fun, and play environments designed specifically for kids and their families. Chuck E. Cheese celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, underscoring its commitment to being the place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®." Beyond entertainment, CEC focuses strongly on safety through initiatives like Kid Check® and community support, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. Recently, the brand was distinguished with the "Best in STEM" award and named one of America's Greatest Workplaces, recognizing its excellence in innovation and employee well-being.
Peter Piper Pizza complements CEC's offerings by providing a neighborhood pizzeria experience that combines quality food with engaging entertainment, promoting family and community connections. Both brands emphasize physical wellness and motor skill development in children through thoughtfully designed play attractions. CEC Entertainment and its franchisees operate close to 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues spanning 45 states and 18 countries, fostering a vibrant culture of diversity and fun.
The Cashier role at Chuck E. Cheese is integral to ensuring a positive guest experience. Cast Members, including Cashiers, are empowered through cross-training across various roles to deliver exceptional service and develop rewarding careers. The position is ideal for first-time job seekers or those looking to advance within the company, with over 60% of managers promoted from within. Cashiers are the frontline of guest service, responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prizes, and contributing to a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
A notable feature of the role is the "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access their earned wages without waiting for the regular paycheck cycle, enhancing financial flexibility. Cashiers must be energetic, enthusiastic, and adept at engaging customers with excellent service skills. The physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform activities such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting.
CEC Entertainment ensures a supportive and inclusive workplace, providing a competitive benefits package that includes telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, tuition savings, scholarships, financial relief resources, and more. Part-time employees have access to fixed indemnity medical coverage and other voluntary benefits, while full-time employees enjoy comprehensive medical, dental, vision, paid time off, life and disability insurance, and additional education support.
The company is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, hiring a workforce that reflects the varied backgrounds and experiences of its guests. CEC is an Equal Opportunity Employer, welcoming applications irrespective of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, and other protected classifications. Those interested in joining a dynamic, fun, and supportive team environment are encouraged to apply and embark on a fulfilling career path at Chuck E. Cheese.
