CEC Entertainment, LLC (CEC), headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. CEC proudly operates the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. Known for being welcoming places for kids and families, these establishments focus on creating fun, engaging environments for dining and play. Each year, Chuck E. Cheese celebrates over half a million birthdays, making it one of the most beloved family entertainment brands in the country. The company is dedicated to safety, community support, and innovation, receiving accolades such as the "Best in STEM" award and being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion, and it values the importance of bringing family and communities together through play and food.
The role currently hiring is that of a Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese. Cashiers are the frontline of guest service, responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prizes, and delivering a warm, fun experience to guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity for first-time job seekers as well as those looking to build a fulfilling career in family entertainment and hospitality. Cashiers at Chuck E. Cheese are empowered through cross-training in various positions, supporting career growth, with over 60% of managers having been promoted from within the company. This role is ideal for those with energetic and enthusiastic personalities who enjoy engaging directly with guests in a lively environment.
The company offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $16.90 to $17.90, plus commission opportunities from $0.50 to $10.00 for memberships sold and $0.15 to $3.00 for Fun Pass sales (depending on exempt status). The commissions are paid out bi-weekly. Additionally, Chuck E. Cheese provides a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access their earned wages without waiting for the traditional paycheck cycle.
Working as a Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese requires standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and interacting well under the busy and exciting conditions of the entertainment center, which includes flashing lights and loud noises. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle job stress effectively. The company emphasizes health and safety with rigorous sanitation standards and operational procedures that comply with local requirements to protect the well-being of employees and guests.
CEC Entertainment offers a comprehensive benefits package tailored to support its employees nationwide. All employees benefit from telemedicine access, early wage access, 401(k) retirement plans, employee meal discounts, and an Employee Assistance Program. Part-time employees may also enroll in fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision options, and voluntary life and short-term disability benefits. Full-time employees working an average of 29.5 or more hours per week are eligible for a broader range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision coverage, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays, FSA/HSA options, life and disability insurance, and additional education and student loan support. CEC Entertainment complies with state and local laws, offering paid sick leave and other legally required benefits.
At Chuck E. Cheese, diversity, inclusion, and culture are core values. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate against applicants or employees on any protected basis. It also provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Chuck E. Cheese is more than just a place to work—it is a place to grow, learn, and be part of a community dedicated to making joyful, lasting memories for kids and families.
