The role of Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese is an excellent opportunity for a first-time job seeker or someone looking to build a long-term career in the family entertainment and dining industry. Cashiers are the frontline of guest service and play a critical role in delivering an exceptional experience. Responsibilities include taking orders, processing payments, assisting guests with prizes, and supporting overall operations. Chuck E. Cheese empowers its Cast Members through cross-training across various positions, enabling them to provide the best service possible. With over 60% of managers promoted internally, career growth opportunities are robust and continuous.
Part-time and full-time employees both benefit from a competitive compensation package, including hourly wages ranging from $15.92 to $16.92, and attractive commission programs based on membership and Fun Pass sales, with payouts processed bi-weekly. Additionally, the "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program offers access to earned wages without waiting for traditional pay cycles.
The working environment requires physical stamina including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to engage in active motions such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting throughout shifts. The role also requires flexibility, excellent customer service skills, and an energetic, enthusiastic personality to engage guests effectively amidst a lively and sometimes noisy atmosphere. CEC ensures that health, safety, and sanitation standards exceed local requirements to protect both employees and guests.
CEC Entertainment provides a comprehensive benefits package tailored to support employees at all levels, including telemedicine, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may enroll in voluntary medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability benefits, while full-time employees receive enhanced benefits including paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays where applicable, FSA/HSA options, legal coverage, and additional educational and student loan support. The company complies fully with all state and local laws regarding paid sick leave and offers reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
CEC Entertainment is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. The organization values diversity in its workforce and does not discriminate based on race, color, ancestry, genetics, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected class. The company fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment where every team member can thrive while contributing to creating memorable experiences for families. The Cashier position at Chuck E.
