CEC Entertainment fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion, embracing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of its workforce to reflect those of the guests it serves. The company's commitment to equal opportunity employment ensures a welcoming environment for all applicants, without discrimination based on race, ancestry, color, genetics, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, physical or mental disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected class.
The role of a Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese represents the frontline of guest service, making it an ideal entry-level position for first-time job seekers or those looking to build an exciting career in the entertainment and hospitality industry. Cashiers are responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prizes, and providing an energetic and enthusiastic welcome to guests. Employees are cross-trained in various positions, enabling them to develop a broad range of skills and advance within the company, with over 60% of managers promoted from within.
The position offers competitive pay plus commission on membership and fun pass sales, with commission structures varying for exempt and non-exempt employees. Additionally, Chuck E. Cheese has implemented a "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access earned wages without waiting for the traditional paycheck cycle. The company also provides a flexible work schedule, scholarships, meal discounts, perks and discounts programs, an employee referral program, and a CEC Cares Fund to assist employees during times of need.
Working at Chuck E. Cheese requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting during shifts. The work environment includes exposure to flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises. Strong customer service skills, a positive and energetic personality, and the ability to handle job stress and work well with others are essential for success in this role.
CEC Entertainment prioritizes health and safety with rigorous sanitation standards designed to exceed local requirements, ensuring the well-being of both employees and guests. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities to help them perform essential job functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company committed to fostering a fun, safe, and inclusive workplace while providing meaningful career growth and benefits to its employees.
