Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment fosters a culture that emphasizes fun, safety, and community engagement. The company celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, creating joyful and lasting memories through food, play, and entertainment. Recognized for inclusivity and innovation, Chuck E. CEC Entertainment is committed to providing a workplace that mirrors the diversity of the families and communities it serves. The company champions equal opportunity employment, ensuring no discrimination based on race, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, veteran status, or any other protected class. With rigorous health and sanitation standards, the company prioritizes the safety and health of both guests and employees, incorporating comprehensive operational procedures designed to exceed local requirements. This culture of safety, inclusion, and fun together creates an environment where both employees and guests can thrive.
Now hiring Cashiers, CEC Entertainment offers an exciting opportunity for first-time job seekers or individuals looking to build a rewarding career in the entertainment and hospitality industry. As a Cashier, you will be the frontline of guest service, responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prizes, and ensuring a welcoming experience for every visitor. The role involves cross-training in various positions, empowering Cast Members to deliver exceptional service and paving the way for internal promotion—over 60% of managers at CEC were promoted from within.
The position offers competitive pay between $16.00 and $18.00 hourly, coupled with commission opportunities based on membership and Fun Pass sales, with commissions paid bi-weekly. The role supports flexible scheduling, making it suitable for individuals with varying availability. An added benefit is the company's innovative "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, which allows employees to access earned wages quickly, reducing the wait between paychecks.
In addition to competitive pay and commission, employees enjoy a range of benefits including a 50% discount on meals during shifts, scholarships, perks and discounts programs, an employee referral program, and access to the CEC Cares Fund — a support system for employees facing hardships. Full-time employees receive comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, virtual visits, tax-free savings accounts, supplemental life insurance options, vacation time, 401(k) retirement plans, and employee assistance resources. Part-time employees also have access to voluntary health insurance, meal discounts, 401(k) plans, and other supportive programs.
The physical demands of the job require employees to be capable of lifting or carrying objects weighing 0-50 pounds and performing tasks that include standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing/pulling, walking, and squatting throughout their shift. The environment involves exposure to flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises, requiring resilience and effective interaction with guests and coworkers under dynamic conditions.
CEC Entertainment is not only a company committed to delivering unparalleled family entertainment experiences but also a place that invests in its people. Whether seeking a first job or aiming to grow a career, joining the CEC team offers a vibrant, supportive environment where enthusiasm and dedication are valued and rewarded.
