Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Able to speak, read and write English
- Possesses basic math skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand instructions and communicate
- Ability to perform non-complex arithmetic including cash handling
- Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift over 45 pounds frequently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred

- Ability to stand for up to 80% of work time
Job Duties
- Greet customers, patients and Health System employees with courtesy
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills to provide a remarkable customer experience
- Organize the cashier area by procuring currency bags and filling cash register and credit card machines
- Accurately operate a computerized cash register to compute charges and assign appropriate cost exceptions
- Receive cash, checks, credit cards, etc. and process as appropriate
- Assume accountability for cash at the end of each shift by verifying register tapes and posting necessary adjustments
- Assist with balancing cash drawers
- Comply with Health System and Department policies when handling currency, checks, charges, etc.
- Ensure cash drawer has appropriate cash levels and obtain additional change as necessary
- Maintain food product inventory including ordering from approved vendors
- Monitor inventory levels to maximize turnover and minimize spoilage and waste
- Participate in annual inventory and other inventories as needed
