As a Cashier/Checker, you will be the face of the store, actively engaging with customers by greeting them warmly and assisting with their needs. Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems is vital, as you will efficiently and accurately handle various payment forms including cash, checks, credit and debit cards, as well as government assistance programs like SNAP EBT and WIC. Adherence to company policies regarding sales, especially restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco, is critical to maintaining compliance and protecting the store's integrity.

The role demands vigilance in managing cash handling, controlling shortages or overages, and promptly reporting pricing discrepancies to maintain store profitability and customer satisfaction. Cashiers also contribute to store safety by following food safety regulations, maintaining equipment, and monitoring store environments to identify and report unsafe conditions.
