As a Cashier at Hometown Coffee & Juice Winnetka, you will play a crucial role in creating an outstanding customer experience. This position requires speed, efficiency, and dedication to quality, managing smooth operations between the kitchen, dining area, and guests. The Cashier must demonstrate exceptional hospitality and teamwork skills, taking a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for handling orders with accuracy, applying discounts and modifiers when necessary, and assisting customers in making informed decisions by being knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. The role demands multitasking capabilities, enabling you to maintain a calm and organized workspace while leading by example and setting the standard for service delivery. Additionally, you will be accountable for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the dining and service areas, regularly inspecting and ensuring the work environment meets the company’s high standards. This position also requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift items up to 25-30 pounds. On top of these operational responsibilities, you will act as a resource for team members, supporting training efforts and front-of-house coordination to maintain seamless service flow. Compensation includes a base hourly wage between $9.25 and $11 with additional tips ranging from $9 to $12 per hour, resulting in typical total hourly pay between $18 and $22.
