Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0 to 1 year of related experience
- meet minimum age requirements if alcohol service is involved
- possession of valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent certification depending on location
- ability to stand or walk for long periods
- ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- punctuality and reliable attendance
- ability to work afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- capability to handle cash register and POS operations
- if applicable, must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service
- may require TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification per local regulations
Job Duties
- Operates a cash register or equivalent, receives payments of cash, checks, and charges from customers or employees for goods or services, making change and issuing receipts or tickets to customers
- provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times
- maintains proper security of cash at all times
- assists in setup and maintaining supplies and products in the retail operation
- participates in cleanup and closing down the retail area
- walks or stands for extended periods throughout the shift, sometimes exceeding 8 hours
- lifts or moves items frequently up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- attends work and shows for scheduled shifts on time
