We are currently seeking a Head Cashier to join our Front End team. This pivotal role is central to delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe customer service at the point of sale. As a Head Cashier, you will oversee cashier activities, ensuring transactions such as checkouts, returns, and self-checkout operations are completed with the highest level of accuracy and customer care. You will also provide leadership by positioning cashiers effectively across cash registers, approving price checks, markdowns, and overseeing various transaction points including mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
Your responsibilities will extend to managing first-level escalations, resolving customer issues promptly to enhance their shopping experience. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in training, coaching, and supporting Front End Associates by participating in the onboarding and ongoing development of new and existing cashiers. The role demands a proactive approach to gaining product and project knowledge, enabling you to assist customers comprehensively and identify sales opportunities. Adhering to company policies and procedures is essential to minimize loss and maintain operational excellence. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year cashier experience
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- strong attention to detail
