The role of Cashier at Sodexo is a full-time position based at Erlanger Baroness Hospital, encompassing varying shifts with open availability preferred. This role offers an hourly wage between $13.00 and $15.00, reflecting the importance of reliability and accuracy in cash handling and customer service. As a Cashier, you will be an integral part of the retail operations team, primarily responsible for managing transactions efficiently and accurately using cash registers or point of sale systems. Your duties will include receiving payments by cash, check, or credit, issuing receipts, and ensuring proper security of funds. The role also involves supporting the setup, restocking, and cleaning processes to maintain a smooth retail operation.

- 0 to 1 year related experience
- Must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol if alcohol is served at the location, based on local city and state regulations
- May require valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification depending on location and compliance with state-specific alcohol training requirements

Job Duties
- Operates a cash register or equivalent
- receives payments of cash, checks, and charges from customers or employees for goods or services
- making change and issuing receipts or tickets to customers
- Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times
- Maintains proper security of cash at all times
- Significant walking or other means of mobility
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, throughout the entire duration of a shift, which may exceed 8 hours
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
- Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
