The Cashier role at American Dining Creations is a vital position focused on delivering outstanding customer service while handling essential point-of-sale operations. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this position requires an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, personable, and passionate about the hospitality industry as well as cultural engagement. As a Cashier, the individual will be the primary face representing ADC’s commitment to a welcoming guest experience. This includes managing transactions efficiently using various payment methods such as cash, debit, credit, and mobile payments.

Additionally, the role involves restocking merchandise, maintaining attractive and organized displays, supporting inventory management, and assisting with sales reporting and reorder recommendations. The Cashier contributes to creating themed and seasonal displays and supports the dining team with various preparation, catering, and delivery tasks. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in service areas and providing insightful customer feedback to management regarding preferences and sales trends are also key responsibilities.

This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-centered environment, is adept at multitasking, and demonstrates excellent communication skills. Physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for extended periods are also part of the job requirements. Job Duties

  • Greet guests and assist by providing product information and recommendations
  • operate the POS system to ring up transactions quickly and accurately, including cash, debit, credit, and mobile payments
  • provide product and menu knowledge with the ability to recommend and upsell when appropriate
  • balance the POS system and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of each shift
  • restock, merchandise, and maintain displays to ensure an organized and visually appealing environment
  • unpack, price, and stock new inventory shipments
  • assist with inventory counts, sales reporting, and reorder recommendations for merchandise and supplies
  • support the creation of themed and seasonal displays
  • support dining team with preparation, catering, and delivery as needed
  • maintain complete cleanliness and organization of service areas, displays, and all ADC work areas
  • provide feedback to operations team regarding customer preferences and sales trends
  • ensure all policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed
  • perform all other duties as assigned, including assisting with special events and guest engagement activities
