The position available is that of a Head Cashier, a key leadership role within the front-end operations. The Head Cashier is responsible for overseeing and supporting the team of cashiers who interact directly with customers during the checkout process. This role requires not only a strong foundation in cashiering skills but also leadership abilities to train, coach, and supervise front-end associates. The Head Cashier ensures that all transactions, whether they are purchases, returns, or special service requests, are handled accurately and efficiently. Additionally, this role involves managing the Self-Checkout area to guarantee smooth operation and assisting with price checks, markdown approvals, and transaction escalations to resolve customer issues effectively. The preferred candidate will have at least one year of cashier experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of point-of-sale systems and customer service best practices. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • process checkout and return transactions
  • monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
  • seek product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities
  • position cashiers and support with price checks and transaction approvals
  • provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • assist in the supervision, coaching, and training of front end associates
  • participate in training new cashiers and use coaching tools to develop staff
