Job Duties
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
- establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return

- be visible and actively greet, engage, and assist customers
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane using POS systems
- handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons according to company policy
- understand and adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
- report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- follow established policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues and notifying store management
- practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs
- create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products sold
- adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
