The Head Cashier role is a vital position within our retail environment, primarily responsible for leading the cashier team by providing excellent customer service, operational support, and leadership. A Head Cashier plays a pivotal role in ensuring that checkout processes are smooth, quick, and friendly for all customers, handling transactions accurately and safely. This includes overseeing the Self-Checkout area, handling returns, price checks, and approval of Point of Sale transactions and markdowns. The position requires proactive engagement with customers to provide product information and identify opportunities for additional sales, enhancing the overall shopping experience. In addition to operational duties, the Head Cashier supervises and supports other cashiers through coaching, training, and resolving escalated customer service issues. This leadership role is essential for minimizing shrink and maintaining compliance with store policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have over one year of cashier experience and a keen ability to manage and develop a team while maintaining a positive and efficient front-end operation.
