We are currently seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Cashier to join our growing team at Quality Chevrolet GMC. This role is vital in managing the financial transactions and customer interactions within the dealership. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the flexibility to adapt to various shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays. As a Cashier, your daily responsibilities will range from answering dealership phone calls and cashing out customers to logging DMV paperwork when it arrives and performing administrative tasks. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with full-time employees eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid vacation, sick time, and a 401K plan. Part-time roles do not include these benefits but still provide an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team.

This role demands a high level of accuracy and professionalism since the Cashier will handle cash, checks, credit card payments, and the reconciliation of sales and receipts at the end of every shift. Effective customer communication is key, as the Cashier will be greeting and directing callers and visitors to the appropriate departments in a courteous and efficient manner. In addition to financial duties, the Cashier will perform various administrative duties that support the overall dealership operations.

Attendance and punctuality are crucial, along with a professional appearance and an enthusiastic approach toward providing excellent customer service. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook is preferred, helping to streamline daily administrative tasks and communications. Job Duties

  • Answer phones and direct customers to the proper department
  • Experience handling cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record the amounts received
  • Communicate with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers for all departments
  • Record totals of sales receipts, counter tickets and repair orders and verify against all cash, checks and credit card payments on hand at the end of shift
  • Perform various Administrative Duties
