We are seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced bakery environment. This position offers a starting hourly pay of $16 plus tips, which can add an additional $4 to $6 per hour. The role is full-time with shifts available in the morning and evening, including 8-hour shifts. Weekend availability is preferred, allowing the bakery to maintain smooth operations during peak customer times. The location of the work is in person at 933 Kapahulu Avenue in Honolulu.

The Cashier will be an essential face of the bakery, responsible for greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and managing financial transactions using cash registers. No prior experience is required as Leonard's Bakery provides all necessary training, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to begin or grow their career in the food service industry. While prior restaurant or customer service experience and knowledge of food safety and sanitation are preferred, they are not mandatory.

Key responsibilities include assisting customers with order placement, preparing drink orders, maintaining cleanliness in the work area by sanitizing counters and wiping windows, restocking kitchen supplies and merchandise, and supporting end-of-shift cleanup tasks such as washing dishes and mopping floors. The role also demands adherence to food handling and safety procedures to ensure a hygienic and safe environment for both customers and staff.

This position requires standing for long periods during shifts, up to 8 hours, and the ability to follow directions accurately while working collaboratively within a team.
