The company operates multiple departments including mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. The role of a Head Cashier is pivotal within this setting. The Head Cashier not only performs transactional duties but also takes on leadership responsibilities by positioning Cashiers and providing support through expediting price checks, approving transactions and markdowns, and managing customer escalations. This supervisory role includes assisting in coaching and training new and existing Cashiers, ensuring that staff is well-prepared to meet customer needs efficiently. Job Requirements
- minimum of 1 year cashier experience
- high school diploma or equivalent
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- able to stand for extended periods
- familiarity with retail point of sale technology
- basic math skills
