The position of Cashier at Great Park Ice is a part-time, event-based role pivotal in ensuring a seamless guest experience. Cashiers are responsible for taking food and beverage orders efficiently and accurately during high-volume arena events, interacting directly with guests to provide friendly and professional service. This role demands flexibility, as hours fluctuate depending on the event schedule. Starting at an hourly rate of $20.00, the position offers an engaging work environment within a fast-paced entertainment venue.
Cashiers will utilize point-of-sale systems to handle transactions while maintaining compliance with cash handling and tip reporting procedures. They play an active role in stocking and setting up concession stands, managing inventory and equipment, and ensuring proper sanitation and food safety standards. The role requires individuals to be comfortable navigating the arena, assisting guests, and partnering with other Food and Beverage team members to maintain quality service.

Job Requirements
- Must be a minimum 18 years of age
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to perform physical requirements including bending or lifting up to 50lbs and standing or walking for extended periods
- Must be able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and supervisors
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- E-food handlers certificate
- TIPS certificate
- Previous customer service experience is a plus
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Good organizational and prioritization skills
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a warm and welcoming manner
- Accurately use POS system while serving high volume of guests in concessions stands
- Follow cash handling and tip reporting guidelines
- Expedite guest food orders in a timely manner at concession stands or portables
- Stock product, set up condiment stations, cashier stations and display baskets
- Thoroughly complete all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities
- Practice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment
