The Cashier position at Buc-ee's Goodyear location is a vital role responsible for delivering fast, friendly, and accurate checkout services. The position offers $20.00 per hour, with excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 3 weeks of paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with 100% match up to 6%. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work weekends, holidays, and during the store's busiest periods. Cashiers play an essential part in maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring a clean, well-stocked store environment and efficient transaction processing.
The Cashier will engage in various duties such as processing payments, balancing the cash drawer, handling customer complaints, and assisting with merchandise stocking. This role demands attention to detail for accurate transactions while adhering to state laws, including those regulating alcohol sales. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- basic math skills
- listen to the needs of the customer and communicate clearly
- attain mastery knowledge of p.o.s. functions
- able to function in a fast-paced work environment
- must be able to stand and walk on a hard or concrete surface, bend, reach, climb, kneel, squat, reach overhead and side to side and able to lift and carry up to 40-50 pounds on a regular basis
- perform cleaning and light maintenance with prescribed chemicals
- may include periodic exposure to all outdoor conditions at all times of day and year
- relevant cashier experience is preferred

Job Duties
- execute a clean, friendly and in-stock experience for every customer
- accurately transacts customer items for checkout on POS units and all acceptable methods of payment
- transact beer purchases in accordance with all state alcoholic beverage laws
- balance cash drawer at beginning and end of each shift
- process exchanges and refunds per company policy
- accurately settle shift pay point reports
- maintain clean and tidy checkout area
- assist in stocking, rotating merchandise and marking labels
- serve as first responder to customer complaints
- train new cashiers
- perform other duties as required and or assigned
- must be flexible and able to work weekends and holidays and store’s busiest days
- employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
