Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of experience in cashier, waitress/waiter, or retail store sales
  • Ability to operate cash register
  • Ability to add and subtract accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work a 24-hour scheduled shift
  • Ability to communicate professionally and empathetically
  • Compliance with regulatory and safety standards
  • Willingness to perform cleaning and stocking duties

Job Qualifications

  • Cashier, waitress/waiter, or retail store sales experience for six (6) months
  • Knowledge of cash register operation
  • Ability to add and subtract accurately and complete cashier's reports
  • Ability to demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all encounters
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow established procedures and policies
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Stock all food and supplies daily as assigned to meet the needs of the retail operation
  • Act as a liaison for the Nutrition Department and St. Elizabeth Healthcare when serving customers and associates
  • Process orders accurately and offer assistance as needed
  • Communicate in a professional caring manner when serving customers
  • Efficient handling of cash register duties and follow proper accounting and cash handling practices to provide accuracy with all transactions and follows all opening and closing procedures
  • Perform cleaning tasks and duties to meet high quality standards that create a welcoming and fresh presentation in the serving and dining areas playing close attention to details
  • Compliance with all local, state, federal and medical center regulatory, safety, sanitation and security standards
  • Participate in performance improvement (PI) studies
  • Assist with data collection and supports action plans
  • Performs other duties as assigned
