Job Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older
- Available to work mornings, afternoons, evenings including weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Basic proficiency in cash register operation
- Reliable transportation to the Blasdell, NY location
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cash handling or retail experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- Customer service orientation and friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
Job Duties
- Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling
- Accurately and efficiently scan customers' grocery items and complete monetary transactions
- Properly bag items to ensure products arrive at their destination in the condition they left the store
- Proactively offer additional assistance or services and thank the customer for shopping at Wegmans
