Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- food handlers permit if required by store or county
- excellent customer service skills
- excellent interpersonal skills
- basic math skills
- ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- have open availability to work all shifts as needed
- ability to stand and/or walk for entire shift
- ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to bend at waist with some twisting during workday
- ability to work with arms bent all day
- ability to stoop, kneel, and/or crouch while working
- ability to push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
- ability to grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands throughout workday
Job Qualifications

- excellent computer skills and competency in PDI Enterprise POS
- excellent customer service skills
- excellent interpersonal skills
- ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little or no supervision

- Food Handlers Permit if required by store or county
- ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- have open availability to work all shifts as needed at home store and other stores within district
Job Duties
- Take measures to preserve the safety of employees and all others in the work location
- conduct sales transactions accurately and quickly
- operate POS (cash register and fuel console) precisely and accurately handle money and other types of payment received for product sold
- perform service transactions such as credit card transactions, manufacturer coupon redemption, vendor check-in, alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales, and fast food sales
- check identification for alcohol, tobacco and lottery products according to company policy
- actively participate in all sales promotions and other campaigns
- practice suggestive selling and build customer relations
- review and adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations
- maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform and name tag at all times
- prepare hot food items as designated by Store Manager
- ensure the store is free of litter and spills and all equipment is sanitized and in working condition
- sweep floors and spot mop as needed
- wipe down fuel delivery area and pumps
- ensure restroom is spot checked and restocked
- perform regular cleaning of counter surfaces, store equipment, trash, and floors
- front face cooler and Hydrazone and dust merchandise
- clean all station windows
- straighten and organize backroom supplies and equipment
- receive product deliveries and move, sort and stack cases
- stock shelves including front face cooler and entire store
- wipe down all counters, food warmers, microwaves and keep trays clean
- re-stock merchandise as needed
- conduct daily inspections of perishable products for freshness and rotation
- follow company policy on robbery and violence prevention and safety
- participate in all store sales building, customer service, and team-building activities
- live and exemplify G&M's core values
- act as back up to cashier during Barista shift and conduct sales transactions
- brew fresh coffee every 2 hours and maintain condiment bar
- clean the store thoroughly during night shifts
- prepare for morning rush by ensuring all machines are clean and restocked
- perform all other duties as assigned by Store Manager
