We are currently seeking a Host/Cashier to join our team at Rusty Taco. This role is crucial as it impacts both the immediate experience of our guests and the long-term success of our restaurant. The Host/Cashier acts as the first point of contact for our patrons, responsible for creating a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits and cultivates a sense of community. This position demands friendly interaction, attentiveness to guest needs, and an ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

In this role, you will introduce new guests to what Rusty Taco is all about, helping them discover the unique offerings and specials that make our concept stand out. You will be in charge of setting up and maintaining the front counter, lobby, bathroom cleanliness, and soda station to ensure all areas meet our high standards of hygiene and presentation. Accuracy in taking food and drink orders and efficiently processing them through our register system will be essential to keeping operations smooth and guests satisfied.

Additionally, the Host/Cashier will check guest identifications to comply with age restrictions for alcoholic beverages, maintaining compliance with all SERV Safe Alcohol, Food, and HACCP standards as well as federal, state, and local laws. You will also serve as a liaison by accepting guest feedback and concerns and promptly communicating them to management for resolution. Building strong working relationships with your teammates will be fundamental to delivering excellent service and contributing to a positive work environment.

The compensation package includes hourly wages plus cash tips at the end of each day, including credit card tips, which typically add an average of 2 to 3 dollars extra per hour.
