IAP is currently seeking a dedicated Cashier/Food Service Worker to join its foodservice operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth customer transactions and maintaining high standards within the food service environment. The Cashier/Food Service Worker will be responsible for handling cash and credit transactions accurately, assisting with the setup and serving of food at counters, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for equipment and workspaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vital support service within a prestigious national security context.

In this role, the successful candidate will operate cash registers or equivalent point-of-sale (POS) systems to process payments for goods and services, making change and issuing receipts with accuracy and professionalism. Maintaining the security of cash and adhering to IAP’s strict cash-handling policies are essential responsibilities. The incumbent may also assist in reconciling transaction accuracy and operate peripheral devices that support non-cash payments.

Additionally, the Cashier/Food Service Worker will contribute to maintaining the overall cleanliness and acceptable appearance of the dining area. This includes pre-service preparation, post-meal cleanup such as wiping tables, vacuuming floors, and cleaning chairs. Responsibilities also extend to setting up stock for beverages, grab-and-go items, service ware, and condiments. The role requires the thorough cleaning and sanitizing of workstations, counters, steam tables, and related equipment to meet the highest hygiene standards.

Other duties include brewing coffee and tea, restocking beverage areas as needed, and engaging interactively with customers to provide excellent service. This position demands a trustworthy individual capable of managing financial transactions and delivering quality customer service in a fast-paced environment. A vital component of the role is the security clearance requirement; candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance, reflecting the sensitive nature of the mission and ensuring compliance with strict government security protocols.
