Job Duties

Greet customers actively and assist them with their needs
process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale
handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons following company policies
adhere to company cash handling limits and work to control loss
enforce guidelines on restricted sales items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
report pricing discrepancies promptly to the Scan Coordinator
follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
stay informed about current and seasonal promotions and ads
comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
enforce safety protocols by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions to management
perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment and report necessary repairs
create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products and store offerings
comply fully with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments
manage conflicts reasonably and non-confrontationally
act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues efficiently
