Job Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to perform friendly, courteous, tactful relations with customers and co-workers with composure
- capacity to communicate through hearing and speech to perform customer relation tasks
- ability to complete written forms
- ability to conduct visual inspection and read information on merchandise
- ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- ability to operate check stand equipment such as cash registers, scanners, and scales
- ability to stand or sit for long periods, walk rapidly, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently
- ability to handle potentially high stress situations and high volumes of customers and transactions
- manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
- ability to learn and memorize substantial information including PLU codes and company procedures
- accuracy in scanning and verifying sales and handling monetary transactions
- occasional use of blades for box cutting
- use of household cleaners to maintain work area
- must comply with applicable state and local laws including food safety/handlers cards, tobacco and alcohol sales certification where required
