Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years cash handling experience preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Confidentiality
  • Problem solving, organizational skills, and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Food service or restaurant experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or working towards degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the management of the property safe including petty cash, cash drawers, and all monies to be deposited in the bank
  • Conduct and be responsible for cash audits
  • Follow all property procedures involving any cash entering or leaving the cash room
  • Prepare bank deposits, change orders, and reconcile cash daily from prior days business
  • Notify GM and or Unit controller immediately about any cash discrepancies
  • Follow and prepare all required paperwork for financial reporting as dictated by UC
  • Follow all safety and security procedures as dictated by SSP company guidelines and Airport guidelines about handling, transporting, and storing cash
  • Keep cashroom area clean and organized
  • Maintain supply levels for all necessary items
  • Prepare, order, and receive change orders from the bank in accordance with property standards
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Cashroom Manager or Controller
