With a deep commitment to social justice and human dignity, Catholic Charities offers a wide range of programs aimed at assisting individuals and families experiencing hardship, including homelessness, poverty, and other socio-economic challenges. As a faith-based agency, it embraces values of empathy, respect, and inclusion, delivering services to all without discrimination or judgment. Its Rachel's Promise Center for Women and Children provides a safe, stable, and nurturing residential environment specifically designed to support single adult women and women with children facing homelessness. This center focuses on promoting safety, wellness, and self-sufficiency among its residents through trauma-informed and resident-centered care.
The Caseworker Coach I, also referred to as a Residential Support Specialist, is a critical role within the Rachel's Promise Center, charged with the responsibility of ensuring that residents have access to clean and secure living spaces while receiving supportive guidance towards achieving stable housing outcomes. This full-time position operates during evening and overnight hours, providing continuous supervision and assistance from 11:30 PM to 8:15 AM, Friday through Tuesday. The role includes welcoming and orienting new residents, conducting initial intake assessments, and establishing clear expectations for behavior and program participation. The Caseworker Coach I is tasked with motivating and supporting residents in setting realistic life goals, connecting them with appropriate community resources, and fostering a trauma-informed culture that prioritizes safety and dignity for all. Strong collaboration with colleagues within Catholic Charities as well as external agencies is essential to effectively address the complex needs of the population served.
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $20.40 to $22.40, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; prescription drugs; life insurance; a case-balance pension plan; a 403(b) retirement plan; vacation time; 15 paid holidays; and sick leave. Working as a Caseworker Coach I at Rachel's Promise Center not only provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women and children experiencing homelessness but also offers professional growth within a supportive, mission-driven organization. Candidates with lived experience are encouraged to apply, reflecting the agency's commitment to authentic, empathetic service delivery and its understanding of the value that personal experience brings to this work.
