Job Description
Catholic Charities is a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate support and comprehensive social services to vulnerable populations. Among its multiple community outreach programs, the Rachel's Promise Center for Women and Children plays a critical role in serving women and children experiencing homelessness, offering safe shelter and essential resources to facilitate their path towards stable housing. Catholic Charities has a rich history of commitment to dignity, safety, and empowerment for individuals and families in crisis, drawing on community collaboration and evidence-based practices to improve outcomes.
The organization operates with a clear mission to inspire hope and transform lives, underpinned by a culture that values excellence, innovation, measurable results, and a commitment to its core values and community impact. Employees are expected to embody these principles and contribute to continuous improvement within a supportive and inclusive work environment.
The Caseworker Coach I (Residential Support Specialist) at Rachel’s Promise Center for Women and Children is a vital team member responsible for directly supporting single adult women and women with children facing homelessness. This full-time, non-exempt position (40 hours per week) includes a schedule that primarily covers morning shifts and one weekend shift. The salary range is $20.40 to $22.40 per hour, depending on experience. Employees in this role receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, prescription drugs, life insurance, a cash-balance pension plan, 403(b), vacation, 15 holidays, and sick leave.
The role focuses on fostering a secure, trauma-informed, and resident-centered environment where clients can thrive while working towards realistic, achievable goals related to housing and self-sufficiency. The Caseworker Coach I will welcome and orient residents, provide consistent oversight to support their physical, emotional, and psychological safety, and assist them in navigating social services and developing crucial life skills. The position requires maintaining cleanliness and order in the facility, assisting with meal preparation and cleanup, documenting client progress, and working collaboratively with colleagues and community partners.
This position demands a compassionate and motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, who can provide continuous encouragement and problem-solving assistance to clients. They must develop a solid knowledge of county-wide resources and uphold Catholic Charities’ commitment to innovation, quality, and measurable outcomes in service delivery. The Caseworker Coach I also participates in trainings, staff meetings, and case management activities, contributing to the integrity of documentation and compliance standards through data entry and record-keeping in HMIS and other related systems.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of women and children experiencing homelessness, who possess resilience, empathy, and a willingness to learn and grow within a mission-driven agency. Candidates with lived experience related to homelessness or social services are encouraged to apply, reflecting the organization’s inclusive approach to hiring and culturally responsive service delivery.
