The role of Carrier Gas Field Service Technician located in Richardson, TX, and Lubbock, TX, is pivotal within Air Liquide Electronics. This position requires delivering 24-hour wafer fab support involving liquid bulk and high purity carrier gas systems along with bulk system purifiers. The technician will operate and maintain key systems such as Air Separation Units (ASU), Air Products System Analyzer (APSA), Clean Dry Air (CDA) systems, compressors, and telemetry monitoring tools like Teleflow and SCADA systems. Working closely with customers and internal teams, the technician facilitates installation, equipment start-up, functional testing, and warranty services to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years working experience in a plant maintenance or plant operations role
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Ability to self-manage
- Ability to understand stringent safety rules
- Possess good supervision/time management skills and be a self-motivated learner
- Must be punctual and with reliable attendance
- Demonstrate understanding of the design theory of major equipment items such as bulk gas purifiers, APSA N2 production plant, CDA production systems, refrigeration systems, analytical equipment used to monitor impurities at the PPB level
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate ability to train others
- Ability to work with various sized diverse groups to solve problems
- Ability to speak in front of various sized groups including internal and external customers
- Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate and supervise a group of technicians on a project
- Electro-mechanical and system process aptitude
- Electronics and PLC troubleshooting
- Knowledge of the APSA PLC programming
- Display aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem-solving actions
- Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations/Air Liquide policies
- Ability to travel to various customer sites across the United States
- Ability to be on-call 24-7 for unmanned sites
- Provide short-term coverage for other Air Liquide projects across the United States
- Provide back-up support to other Air Liquide companies such as Airgas or Large Industries
- Proficient with Maximo work order management and inventory management and able to support other Field Service Technicians with these skills
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods up to 4 hours per day of sitting, standing, squatting, and standing on ladders may be required

Job Duties
- Provide 24-hour wafer fab support to multiple local, national, and internal customers specializing in liquid bulk, high purity carrier gas systems, bulk system purifiers
- Operating and maintaining ASU, APSA, CDA, and compressor systems
- Monitor Teleflow and SCADA systems
- Collaboratively align the installation, facilitation, and start-up of said equipment
- Perform the functional testing of said equipment prior to placing online to customers
- Provide warranty coverage and assistance for installed equipment
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of delivery equipment
- Support the growth and training of customers or Air Liquide TGCM technicians related to ASU’s, APSA’s, CDA and Teleflow/SCASA monitoring systems
- Provide billing information to salesforce for non-warranty work and repairs
- Maintain historical records of equipment maintenance and/or repair
- Assist in the identification and resolution of carrier gas related semiconductor-manufacturing problems
- Assist in drafting specifications for operating procedures/work instructions and revise existing procedures as required for the various pieces of equipment at each location
- Nurture the primary relationship with customers related to ASU’s, APSA’s, CDA and Teleflow/SCASA monitoring systems
- Generate site-specific reports and consolidate data as requested by the customer or Air Liquide management
- Support and foster all customer and Air Liquide programs including, but not limited to: Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance
- Guided by all applicable HS&E Standards including, but not limited to: PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Confined Space Entry, etc.
- Provide READI team support for ALEUS Compressor rebuild projects
- Provide site information to local sales force to uncover areas to expand our impact for Air Liquide
- Provide technical information and assistance to local sales force or other Air Liquide department
- Provide various presentations to customers and Air Liquide personnel detailing any and all field service data or information
- Monitor operating costs and spending
- Willing and able to provide other Field Service Technicians with remote troubleshooting
