Job Description

Team JCK LLC and KBR Group LLC are proud independent franchisees of Carl Karcher Enterprises, operating Carl's Jr locations from Medford, Oregon to Longview, Washington. Carl's Jr is a well-recognized fast-food restaurant chain known for its high-quality burgers and customer-first approach. As a family-owned and operated business, these franchise locations emphasize more than just serving food - they build a community where teamwork, respect, and individual growth are at the core of operations. With a strong focus on creating opportunities for success and fostering a supportive work environment, these Carl's Jr franchisees treat their employees as part of the family, ensuring a workplace that is inclusive, motivating, and driven by shared values.

The Restaurant Management roles within these franchise operations play a crucial part in ensuring day-to-day success. Managers at Carl's Jr franchise locations are tasked with overseeing labor management to meet budget goals while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service. They perform detailed business performance analyses, closely monitor controllable costs, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep the restaurant profitable and operationally sound. Moreover, managers ensure all business and personnel practices comply with state and federal laws and align with Carl's Jr policies and procedures, maintaining a professional and legally-compliant workplace.

Supervising and training are key responsibilities of the management team. Managers regularly mentor employees, training and coaching them to improve individual performance and overall team effectiveness. They provide continuous feedback, both positive and corrective, to encourage employee growth and motivation. Management decisions related to hiring, discipline, promotion, termination, and compensation fall under their purview. Clear communication of business objectives and team goals, coupled with recognition of employees’ positive contributions, helps maintain a productive and engaging work environment.

The management team at these Carl's Jr franchises is viewed as the heartbeat of each location. Their dedication and spirit contribute significantly to the success of both the team members and the customers they serve daily. Managers must be independent, self-motivated, and skilled in customer service and team building. Strong leadership and effective communication skills are essential to promote a cohesive and high-performing team environment.

Physical demands of the role include the ability to stand, bend, stoop for extended periods, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Working hours can reach up to 47 hours weekly, reflecting the commitment needed to meet business demands. Managers must be at least 18 years old and have or be able to obtain a food handler’s permit within 30 days of employment.

Compensation for management roles is competitive, with General Managers earning between $65,000 and $95,000 annually, and Assistant Managers earning between $56,000 and $64,000 annually. In addition to a strong salary, the franchises offer comprehensive, employer-sponsored benefits and first-class training programs designed to help managers succeed and advance along their career path. This is a workplace where every team member has the opportunity to grow, achieve their goals, and truly feel they belong to something greater than a job - a family.
