Job Description

Team JCK LLC and KBR Group LLC are proud independent franchisees of Carl Karcher Enterprises, operating Carl's Jr locations from Medford, Oregon to Longview, Washington. As part of a family-owned business, we place a high priority on creating a supportive and opportunity-rich environment for success and teamwork. Our goal is to foster a workplace where employees feel valued, motivated, and equipped to grow, reflecting our commitment that working with us is more than just a job – it is like being part of a family. We are in the people business and understand that every member of our team contributes uniquely to the ongoing success of our restaurants and the satisfaction of our customers.

The management positions we offer are crucial to the business operation and success of our Carl's Jr locations. Our managers are responsible for effectively utilizing labor resources to meet budget requirements while maintaining the highest quality standards in food safety, customer service, and cleanliness. Management involves detailed business performance analysis to monitor costs and implement corrective actions as needed. Managers must ensure all business and personnel practices comply with applicable state and federal laws along with Carl's Jr policies and procedures. This role requires a strong focus on leadership and team development, requiring managers to supervise, mentor, and train employees regularly.

Supervising includes coaching team members, providing both positive and corrective feedback to guide performance improvements, motivating employees, and fostering a positive work culture. Managers will have responsibilities in hiring, discipline, advancement, termination, and compensation decisions, making employment decisions that align with the company’s values and goals. Effective communication of business goals and expectations to the team is essential, and reward systems are utilized to recognize employees who contribute positively to the business.

Being part of the management team means becoming the heartbeat of each location, where dedicated professionals inject passion and dedication into daily operations and customer service excellence. The role demands a self-starter mindset and the ability to independently manage responsibilities while being a skilled team builder with strong leadership and communication skills. The position requires physical stamina to stand, bend, stoop for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. Food safety certification is necessary and must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment if not already held.

Starting wage for an Assistant Manager ranges between $56,000 and $64,000 annually, reflecting the importance and responsibility of this key role. We are committed to providing first-class training programs to ensure new managers gain the skills and knowledge necessary for success and future career growth. At our company, we want to support your professional journey and help you reach your future goals.

Our comprehensive benefits package underlines our commitment to employee welfare and includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, generous paid time off of up to 30 days annually, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions. We provide paid life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Additional support comes from our employee assistance programs, which are available to all employees from their first day. Our benefits also include food discounts when off shift, a free meal during every shift, and a generous quarterly performance bonus program to reward outstanding contributions. Team JCK and KBR Group aim to create a workplace where every team member feels valued, supported, and motivated to deliver the best possible service to our customers and community.
