The position of Carhop reports directly to the Manager on Duty (MOD) and is classified as a nonexempt status position. This role demands physical stamina and excellent guest interaction skills, as it involves carrying trays, providing prompt service, and maintaining cleaning and sanitation standards within the restaurant area.

As a Carhop, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all food products served meet operational, quality, and appearance standards before delivering them to guests. The role requires balancing trays weighing up to 25 pounds, delivering the product efficiently and courteously. You will act as a friendly point of contact for guests by responding promptly to their requests, assisting with payments, and handling cash accurately and quickly. Furthermore, the position entails clearing trays and trash from guests' vehicles and surrounding areas, thereby maintaining a clean and pleasant environment.

In addition to direct guest service, Carhops are expected to comply fully with company policies and operational procedures. Regular cleaning duties, including mopping, sweeping, dishwashing, wiping counters, and sanitizing food prep areas, are essential to uphold hygiene and safety standards. The job also involves regular attendance and adherence to the expected work schedule to support team operations smoothly.

Job Duties

  • Ensure that product meets operational, quality, and appearance standards before being delivered to guests
  • Deliver product to guests by carrying and balancing a tray weighing up to 25 pounds

  • Report customer complaints/issues to MOD
