The Carhop position is an essential role within our restaurant that serves as the frontline of our guest interactions. The Carhop's main responsibility is to ensure that product delivery meets operational, quality, and appearance standards while providing friendly, quick, and polite service to guests. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, physical agility, and excellent customer service skills. Carhops must be able to balance trays weighing up to 25 pounds and assist guests both with meal delivery and payment efficiently and respectfully. A key component of this position involves effectively responding to guest requests, handling complaints by reporting them promptly to management, and maintaining cleanliness in and around guest areas.
Additionally, the role of Carhop may include specialized duties such as skating while serving, which requires additional training and skill. Our Carhops not only contribute to the smooth operation of food service but also help maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant through regular duties such as trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, and cleaning food preparation areas. This full-service position comes with varying shifts, including irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the restaurant industry. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to carry and balance trays weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, move, stoop, stretch, lift, and skate (for skating carhops) for extended periods
- Capability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math and reading proficiency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective customer service skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Reliable attendance

Job Duties
- Ensure that product meets operational, quality, and appearance standards before being delivered to guests
- Deliver product to guests by carrying and balancing a tray weighing up to 25 pounds
- Provide friendly, quick, and polite service to guests
- Promptly respond to guest requests
- Report customer complaints/issues to Manager on Duty
- Assist guest with payment
- Make accurate change quickly and efficiently
- Clear trays and trash from guests’ vehicles, patio, drive-thru, and parking lot
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitation duties including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease
- Regular attendance
- Report employee complaints/issues to Manager on Duty
- Move and stock food product weighing up to 50 pounds
- Perform skating carhop duties after training
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required
