Carhop/ Skating Carhop (server)

This role involves serving food and beverages to guests by physically carrying trays, sometimes weighing up to 25 pounds, and providing fast and courteous service. A Carhop must be capable of delivering products while balancing trays safely, responding promptly to guest requests, accurately handling payments, and efficiently clearing trays and trash from various areas including guests' vehicles and parking lots.

In addition to serving guests, Carhops are responsible for routinely cleaning and sanitizing dining and food preparation areas to uphold sanitation standards. This involves disposing of trash, mopping floors, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing surfaces, and cleaning equipment regularly. Punctuality and regular attendance are critical due to the service nature of the role.

An exciting component of the Carhop role is the option to specialize as a Skating Carhop, which requires the additional skill of serving while on roller skates. This specialization demands completing specific training and performing all assigned duties proficiently while skating to enhance the unique dining experience offered by this restaurant.

The Carhop position requires an ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands are significant, necessitating continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting (including heavy items up to 50 pounds when stocking food), and for Skating Carhops, skating within a busy restaurant environment. Exposure to heat and hot liquids during cooking, as well as occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, adds to the challenging but rewarding nature of the work.
