Job Description

The Waller Group is proud to be associated with SONIC Drive-In, a unique and iconic fast-food restaurant brand that offers a nostalgic yet contemporary dining experience. SONIC is best known for its drive-in service where customers enjoy delicious food served directly to their cars. The company has built a strong reputation for providing excellent food and exceptional customer service in a friendly and fun environment. As a part of the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry, SONIC stands out by creating a memorable and interactive dining experience, especially with the role of the Carhop, which harkens back to classic American drive-in culture but with a fresh and energetic twist. The Waller Group, in partnership with SONIC, seeks enthusiastic, friendly individuals who want to engage with customers, offer outstanding service, and become part of an elite team of food servers that contribute significantly to the overall guest experience at SONIC Drive-Ins.

This position is for the role of SONIC Carhop or Skating Carhop server, which is a distinct and exciting offering by SONIC. This is not your average food server job; it involves directly serving customers in a fun and dynamic drive-in setting, delivering food safely and efficiently to guests parked in their cars. The role requires carhops to greet customers warmly, handle food delivery with care, make accurate change, and maintain cleanliness around guest vehicles. For restaurants that employ Skating Carhops, servers must complete a specialized roller skating training program, after which they serve while skating, adding a delightful and unique element to the customer experience. This role is perfect for energetic individuals who enjoy interacting with people, working in a fast-paced environment, and offering top-notch service with a smile.

Working as a SONIC Carhop offers flexible hours, competitive pay, and a distinctive uniform that adds to the fun atmosphere of the job. The Carhop role requires physical stamina, including the ability to carry trays weighing up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop communication skills, multitasking abilities, and customer service expertise in the vibrant setting of a SONIC Drive-In. The job often involves working irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, so flexibility is essential. Being part of this team means contributing to a fun, friendly, and safe environment where both customers and employees enjoy coming back. Whether roller skating on various surfaces or serving food with a friendly smile, the SONIC Carhop role is a unique career opportunity that brings excitement, team spirit, and customer satisfaction to the forefront.
