The Full-Time Day Shift Delivery Driver position at LDF offers a key role in maintaining LDF's reputation for dependable and excellent service. The delivery driver is responsible for distributing beer and other beverage products to local accounts from Tuesday through Friday, with the advantage of being home each night. This role requires adherence to stringent policies and procedures around product safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer interaction to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of products. The position is structured around a 4-day work week, providing a stable and manageable schedule for candidates who seek a full-time role. Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • prefer 3-6 months commercial driving experience
  • prior route sales or delivery experience
  • valid driver's license
  • good interpersonal skills for professional customer interaction
  • basic math skills to handle transactions and balances
  • ability to operate handheld units and software
  • physical capability to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing and walking

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of company training program
  • in-depth knowledge of company products, policies, procedures, and operations
  • knowledge of state laws regarding sale of alcohol
  • grooming and hygiene consistent with good customer relations
  • adaptable and flexible with varying routines

Job Duties

  • Adheres to all check-in/check-out policies and procedures
  • assumes responsibility for all products assigned to be delivered including safeguarding products, vehicles, and equipment
  • signs for load sheets and verifies correct delivery items
  • drives truck to deliver products to assigned accounts and meets customer requests
  • stocks and rotates products, sets up promotional displays, and updates point-of-sale materials
  • collects empty kegs, out-of-date and damaged products
  • collects payments and provides invoices, ensuring proper documentation
  • completes daily check-in and reconciliation processes including deposits
  • reports market trends and competitive activity to supervisor
  • ensures vehicle safety including daily maintenance checks
  • operates company vehicle following safety and DOT regulations
  • performs other duties as assigned by Distribution Manager
