Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Full use of hands, arms, and legs for caregiving tasks such as washing and dressing
  • Ability to read thermometers, charts, and operate laundry and kitchen equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience working with elderly individuals
  • Previous experience with dementia care preferred
  • Virginia issued PCA or CNA certification required
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Assist residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Manage food service including meal preparation and feeding assistance
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean living environment
  • Support behavior management and emotional well-being of residents
  • Facilitate resident socialization and engagement in activities
  • Provide orientation and information to residents as needed
  • Collaborate with the Health & Wellness Team to ensure comprehensive care
