Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Full use of hands, arms, and legs for caregiving tasks such as washing and dressing
- Ability to read thermometers, charts, and operate laundry and kitchen equipment
- Commitment to equal opportunity and adherence to drug-free workplace policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience working with elderly individuals
- Previous experience with dementia care preferred
- Virginia issued PCA or CNA certification required
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Duties
- Assist residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Manage food service including meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean living environment
- Support behavior management and emotional well-being of residents
- Facilitate resident socialization and engagement in activities
- Provide orientation and information to residents as needed
- Collaborate with the Health & Wellness Team to ensure comprehensive care
